Arbeit Macht Frei – Work Makes Freedom

The sign over the Buchenwald concentration camp reads – “Arbeit Macht Frei” or Work Makes Freedom It’s a stark reminder of the lie that the concentration camps were on many fronts.

Yet this is the lie that many leaders and organizations still use today.

Much of our society and the world of business is built upon the idea that winning at work will set us free. While many people feel trapped in jobs or companies that suck the life out of them.

Which is why if you’re going to build a culture or a company, you need to be aware of how you’re creating freedom.

Are you offering that working hard today will set your team or yourself free tomorrow?

Or are you building a business that creates freedom for your customers, your employees, and yourself as a central part of the way you do work?

Love,
Toku

  1. I have comment on your blog “Thoughts DO NOT create feelings”.

You write “thoughts do not create feelings” but at the same time you say this: “The truth is our amygdala saw a pattern it’s been trained to think is a threat”.

“It’s been trained to think”, which is thinking, right?
